Data Requests
Use this page to request deletion, export, correction, or account closure for HatchCheck account, project, checkup, report, or uploaded-evidence data.
This is a beta support path, not a completed automated DSR portal. Requests may require identity or account ownership verification before HatchCheck changes, deletes, or exports data.
Request Types
HatchCheck supports documented request paths while self-service controls mature.
- Deletion request: ask HatchCheck to delete account, project, checkup, report, or uploaded-evidence data where supported by the implemented data model.
- Export request: ask for a copy of account, project, report, or checkup data associated with your verified account.
- Correction request: ask HatchCheck to correct inaccurate account or project information.
- Account closure request: ask HatchCheck to close the account and disable access where supported.
Verification Requirement
HatchCheck must verify request ownership before releasing or changing data.
- Send the request from the account email when possible.
- Include the project or report name, but do not include secrets or production credentials.
- HatchCheck may ask for additional verification when the request affects uploads, reports, payment records, or security-sensitive account data.
Retention Notes
Deletion and retention behavior depends on the record type and the current operational maturity of the product.
- Planned artifact retention target: 90 days unless a project/report policy says otherwise.
- Planned report retention target: 365 days unless delivered-report policy requires retention.
- Planned audit log retention target: 730 days.
- Until automated retention is fully available, users can request deletion, export, correction, or account-closure support by emailing privacy@example.com.
- Some records may need to be retained for security, audit, abuse-prevention, dispute, payment, backup, or legal reasons.
- Delivered report records should not be silently mutated; updated reviews should create a new report version where the implemented data model supports it.
